Lib has recovered from his ordeal. It took a long time for the Benadryl + chloral hydrate combination to wear off.
In the meantime, I am sitting here waiting for his doctor to call for our follow-up phone appointment, and he is in his room quietly dismantling it.
Liberty has developed a sudden penchant for showers. No baths.
He loves Herb Alpert.
He loves Mr. Potato Head and he goes around with Mr. Potato Head's sunglasses trying them on all of his stuffed animal friends. This is new. He suddenly knows his body parts.
And, Kettle Chips are the bee's rollerskates.
At least for today. Maybe for three days. Then he will be onto something else.
I am disoriented today without camp, being in between school, and the solar eclipse.

He sounds like a great kid. How are you holding up?
I'm hanging in there. Just tired which is my usual state. But, school is only 2 weeks away, my light at the end of the tunnel! There are lots of positives - Lib is getting potty training down now finally. He's signing. He should be in a good place to start school. I have the data book from camp. It's all good. Just - if I could sleep all day just once...maybe I'd feel better! Thanks for asking DM.
